About Christian Douthitt

Wine Educator - Ste. Michelle Wine Estates

Christian Douthitt is a Wine Educator with Chateau Ste. Michelle who loves sharing his passion and knowledge about wine with anyone curious enough to ask. A staunch believer that wine should always be about enjoyment, he strives to bring a casual and demystifying point of view to his work.

Prior to joining Chateau Ste. Michelle, Christian worked as the Lead Sommelier and Cellar Master for an award-winning wine program in Seattle. From spending time in the Pinot Noir vineyards of New Zealand’s Central Otago region to winemaking in Washington, Christian brings 12 years of hands-on experience from every corner of the globe.

When not speaking or hosting, Christian can be found hiking through Washington forests with his daughter and partner-in-crime Evelyn. He’s confident she’ll learn to love the pairing of muddy boots and a great Montrachet someday.

About the Winery

At Chateau Ste. Michelle, our award-winning wines interweave with our rich heritage to create a wine experience you'll never forget. Celebrating more than 50 years of winemaking, we have combined Old World winemaking traditions with New World innovation. In fact, Chateau Ste. Michelle is one of the few premium wineries in the world with two state-of-the-art wineries, one for red and one for white. The whites are made at the Chateau in Woodinville, WA, while the reds are made at our Canoe Ridge Estate winery in Eastern Washington. Built on the 1912 estate owned by Seattle lumber baron Frederick Stimson, the winery’s roots date back to the Repeal of Prohibition. To learn more visit https://www.ste-michelle.com/.
