Satisfactory compensation and paid vacation are enough to retain employees, right?  Not quite. As demands on employees increase in a highly competitive global economy, employees expect more from their employers. 

Essentials like compensation and health insurance matter. But other benefits are increasingly important to employees, such as a flexible work schedule, leadership development, and company philanthropy. Understanding and improving the employee experience are critical for companies to attract and retain skilled employees. 

An engaging employee experience also drives a strong customer experience. In fact, companies that invest in the employee experience are four times as profitable as those that don’t, according to Harvard Business Review. So what keeps employees engaged?
