2018 Motif Charity Walk Raises Over $100,000,Includes 4000 Participants and 46 Sponsors
Annual event proceeds have benefitted 51 community organizations over the past 16 years
AHMEDABAD, April 4, 2018 -- TTEC (NASDAQ: TTEC), a leading global technology and services provider focused exclusively on the design, implementation and delivery of transformative customer experience for many of the world’s most iconic and disruptive brands, today announced results of the 2018 Annual Motif Charity Walk. Motif was acquired by TTEC in late 2017.
The 16th Annual Motif Charity Walk was held on February 18, 2018. The event raised $116,838 for four charities with the support of more than 4,000 participants and 46 sponsors. Over the last 16 years, through the Motif Charity Walk initiative, the company has raised $1.18 million for 51 different charities and has welcomed more than 68,736 participants.
The event consists of a 5 km (3 mile) walk / 10 km (6 mile) run and is completely organized by Motif volunteers. The state’s #1 DJ comperes the event as participants and community members enjoy refreshments, school band performances, dancing and musical performances. Prizes are also awarded for different age groups and categories, collected funds are distributed to recipient organizations, and volunteers, sponsors and participants are recognized for their support and contribution.
“This companywide initiative began with a clear vision towards ‘continuous value creation for employees, customers, investors and society’ with an objective to create health awareness and raise funds through public participation,” said Kaushal Mehta, India VP and GM, TTEC. “We have been conducting the Charity Walk for the past 16 years, and it has now become a highly anticipated annual event on the city’s social calendar.”
Primary beneficiaries of the project are regional non-governmental organizations (NGOs) selected every year based on the socially responsible services these organizations offer to the community. Past recipient organizations were focused on:
- Community involvement and development
- Human rights education, empowerment and encouragement
- Value education, vocational skills training, economic empowerment and health care programs which improve quality of life for the deprived, marginalized & underprivileged sections of society
- Recognition and strengthening of creativity of grassroots inventors, innovators and eco-preneurs engaged in conserving biodiversity and developing eco-friendly solutions to local problems
